First, I don’t understand why…I mean WHYYYY do some words have totally different alphabets in their spellings and then completely different sounds in their pronunciation?
Well, turns out that complaining won’t help and the fact that I am an Indian who wants to speak English (hopefully with an accent) but struggles with the pronunciation of certain words, I figured that SO DO YOU.
So, why not use the best tool at my disposition– my mother tongue HINDI in this process.
Here I have a collection of some most common but hard to pronounce (or mispronounced) English words, and today we’ll conquer them all.
NOTE: I have opted (for the most of the words) US / American pronunciations as I feel that they are much more common than the British ones.
