Compliment सुनना किसे पसंद नहीं?
किसी के मुँह से सुनी एक छोटी सी तारीफ भी आपका दिन बना देती है।


जब बात आती है किसी दूसरे व्यक्ति की तारीफ करने की तो अक्सर हम एक या दो शब्दों का ही प्रयोग करते हैं जैसे की GOOD, NICE, GREAT, etc.

पर क्या हमेशा GOOD कह देना ही काफी है?

Meaning: लुभावना/आकर्षक 
Used for someone who is attractive in a tempting way.

• Her smile was quite enticing.
• उसकी मुस्कान काफी आकर्षक थी।

Meaning: मोहक
If a person has a little twinkle in their eyes or has an impressive wit, then you call that person charming.

• Sam’s personality is just as charming as his mother.
• Sam का व्यक्तित्व उसकी मां के समान ही मोहक है।

Meaning:  शानदार
If something/someone catches your attention by their immensely attractive looks, so much so that you can’t take your eyes off, it’s called spectacular.

• You were looking spectacular at last night’s party.
• आप कल रात की पार्टी में बहुत शानदार दिख रहे थे।

Meaning:  विस्मयकारी/ लुभावना 
This word is used for someone (or something) that is awe-inspiring and attractive that for a moment it makes you gasp for a breath.

• From my hotel room, there is a breathtaking view of the sea.
• मेरे होटल के कमरे से समुन्द्र का लुभावना दृश्य दिखता है।

Meaning: उदार/ दयालू 
Generous is a person who is kind, big hearted, and always helping others.

• I have not seen anyone more generous than you.
• मैंने आज तक आपसे ज़्यादा उदार व्यक्ति नहीं देखा है।

Meaning: दिलकश/ अतिसुन्दर 
Ravishing is a person who looks so beautiful and attractive that it makes your heartbeat go up a little.

• You look ravishing in this dress.
• तुम इस पोशाक में बेहद दिलकश लग रही हो।

Meaning: राजसी/आलिशान/ भव्य 
This word is mostly used for a place or a thing that has a posh and palatial feel with some extraordinary quality.

• They got married in a majestic hotel in Jaipur
• उन्होंने जयपुर के एक आलिशान/राजसी होटल में शादी की।

Meaning: सौम्य/ मनभावना/ मधुर/ सुशील 
It’s one rare compliment used primarily for a man.
A suave man is someone who is elegant, charming, filled with confidence and poise – in short, a whole package.

• I find your demeanour very suave and decent.
• मुझे तुम्हारा आचरण बहुत ही मधुर व सभ्य लगता है।

Meaning: परियों जैसा/ दिव्य 
Like ‘suave’ is for men, ‘angelic’ is mostly used for women.
If you see a woman who appears heavenly and looks just like a floating angel, you can and you should compliment her with this word.

(It’s commonly used to compliment a bride.)

• She looked angelic in that white ‘Cinderella gown’ on her wedding day.
• वह अपनी शादी के दिन उस सफ़ेद ‘Cinderella gown’ में परियों जैसी दिख रही थी।

Meaning:  मंत्रमुग्ध कर देने वाला
It’s used for someone who makes it difficult for you to concentrate on your own thoughts in their presence.
A mesmerising personality makes you feel kind of lost in every word they say or anything they do.

• You have a mesmerising voice.
• आपकी आवाज़ मंत्रमुघ्ध कर देने वाली है।
